Transformations

Move, rotate and scale change where an object is, which way it faces and how big it is. They work on whole objects and on selected vertices, edges and faces.

Drag a model to turn it.

MoveChanges position. Dragging one arrow of the gizmo locks the move to that axis; here, X.
RotateTurns the object around its pivot. Each ring of the gizmo is one axis.
ScaleResizes from the pivot. Scaling all axes together keeps the proportions.
Scale one axisScaling only Y stretches the cube into a tall box.
Pivot at the centerThe pivot (the dot) is the point everything turns and scales around.
Pivot at a cornerThe same rotation with the pivot moved to a corner swings the whole cube around it.

In your tool

  1. Select the object, or vertices, edges or faces inside a mesh.
  2. Pick the move, rotate or scale tool (or its shortcut) and drag a gizmo handle.
  3. Type a number to set an exact distance, angle or factor.
